Rose Of Sharon Montessori is a School for children from 1 to 11 years of age. It serves a small catchment area in the city of Benin City.
We are a one-form entry school with children from Nursery through to Year 6. However, in September 2016 Rose Of Sharon School welcomed a double-form of Reception intake. The school has grown since it was formally opened in September 2020, when at that time, there was only one Reception class of 24. Our motto - Raising Godly Children to be Noble Leaders - underpins everything that is 'Rose Of Sharon'. We show 'Care' by encouraging an atmosphere where everyone feels safe, listened to and respected. We try to make the environment as welcoming as possible for all our community and endeavour to make sure it is looked after by the children. Our children benefit from "Aspirational" opportunities - sleepovers at castles and museums, very many trips, and learning French throughout the school. As a result of children and families feeling cared for, having exciting aspirational opportunities whereby everyone is encouraged and supported to be their personal best, our children achieve great things and we do like to celebrate our successes! As well as providing an attractive environment for everybody, we aim to ensure that Rose Of Sharon Montessori is a safe, secure and stimulating setting in which children's learning can flourish. We are continually working hard to develop our learning environment, both inside and outside the school building.
